Battle of the Badges 2024 · 8 June 2024 ·

The annual Battle of the Badges tournament, organised by The Archie Foundation, is a fundraising football tournament where teams from the Police, Fire, NHS, and SAS battle it out!

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Jackson & Zak's JustGiving page!

Both boys have been selected as mascots for The Battle of The Badges in June and by doing so are raising funds to support The Archie Foundation for the wonderful care they both receive.

Jackson receives Bereavement Support from a wonderful team to help him deal with the struggles of his dad's suicide. As he's getting older more questions and emotions are arising and The Archie Foundation are helping him navigate his way through these and stay the happy, fun-loving and positive boy we all know so well! Their counselling sessions are giving him techniques to support him and helping him realise that talking is so very important. Mum is very grateful for the help and support too.

Zak suffers with chronic asthma & bad allergies requiring various different treatments and daily medication.

He was unfortunately involved in a nasty football challenge in 2023 resulting in a torn meniscus. He was braced with crutches for over 20 weeks which was extremely challenging, both physically and mentally for him.

Various departments across the hospital have supported Zak for many years now and he has multiple appointments every month but nothing gets in his way and he continues to push forward not letting these issues defeat him. He's always a positive force and voice on the football field! His mum and family are extremely grateful for the continued support they receive.

Your donations are incredibly important to keep this wonderful charity going to help children in Aberdeen.

Thank you,

Jackson & Zak
