I’m running the Liverpool Half Marathon for Liverpool Women’s Hospital, a place that cares for thousands of women, babies and families every year.

18 years ago I was blessed with Gracie. My first child, born 12 weeks premature weighing just 2lb2oz. During my pregnancy at just 16 weeks I suffered Premature Rupture of Membranes (PPROM) which meant I was under the care of The Fetal Centre at Liverpool Women’s Hospital from there onwards. At just short of 28 weeks I gave birth to Baby Gracie. Due to PPROM her little lungs hadn’t developed efficiently. At just 5 and a half hours into her life, it was too much for Baby Gracie and she gained her angel wings. 🪽🌈 💗

I received so much care from The Fetal Centre, The Neonatal Department , The Bereavement Team and more! I am just one family of so many who require the support that Liverpool Women’s Hospital provide, but we need your help to keep these services going! And to help fund vital research to help prevent infant fatalities as a result of PPROM.

Please help raise funds for Liverpool Women’s Hospital in memory of Baby Gracie as we reach what would have been her milestone 18th birthday.

The charity funds the extras the NHS can’t — specialist equipment, comforting spaces, bereavement support and small touches that make a huge difference during some of the most important (and most difficult) moments in people’s lives.
