Camino de Santiago

Bryson's was founded in 1947 and is a no-euthansea independent rescue and rehoming centre for horses, dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals. We vet all potential homes and all animals are neutered and vaccinated.

Story

On 3rd July 2024 I will begin a life long ambition to walk the Camino Francés.

I will be walking approximately 900 kilometres alone from the south of France, crossing the Pyrenees and across Spain to reach Santiago and then Finisterre (the end of the world).

This was a pilgrimage walked by the apostle St James in the 9th century. Today it remains one of the most famous Camino de Santiago pilgrim routes.

The walk will take me approximately 5 weeks to complete and as you can imagine will be a huge personal challenge.

Many of you supported my 100 mile walk in 2023 by donating to dog Rescue. You know than animal welfare is a massive part of what I believe in. We need to look after animals who can’t take care of themselves. There is so much cruelty and abuse to these animals. I plan to raise as much funding as I can during this walk to help innocent animals suffering this abuse.

Please help by donating even a small amount to the Just Giving page attached. Every penny will go towards helping abused and homeless animals. The money will be donated to Brysons Animal shelter in Gateshead. This small charity and their dedicated volunteers do an amazing job providing care and shelter for dogs, cats, donkeys and small animals.

Even if you aren’t an animal person then I ask you to donate because you are kind and are able to spare a little money. And because you can respect the efforts of my walk.

Thank you so much for reading and for your donation.

Jocelynne.
