I've done something a bit strange. After deciding I wanted to be fitter I started thinking about running. To give me a nudge, I thought it would be a good idea to enter the ballot for the London Marathon... but I got in! This gave me more of a shove than a nudge. I started running! I've managed a half marathon so far and I am plowing on towards the full marathon on my couch to 42k journey! As I haven't got a charity place it means I can choose to raise money for a charity of my choice.

I have chosen to run for The Cave Rescue Organisation based in Clapham on the Yorkshire Dales – but there is another page for my marathon effort that is raising funds for the cancer support charity Maggie's.
