Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

Eager for a challenge to push me to my absolute limit, I have entered into the Tallinn 2025 Ironman race! I have never taken on a challenge of this magnitude before, and I am both nervous and excited in equal measure!

I have chosen to fundraise for Alzheimer's Research UK, a charity focused on finding a cure and treatments for alzheimers disease. I believe this is a great cause to support, and feels personal to me as the first charity I fundraised for was Alzheimers Society, at aged 15, during my early years as a cyclist. Cycling 70 miles back then felt like a huge achievement, and it feels right to me I would support a similar cause for an Ironman!

Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.

We are the UK's leading dementia research charity. We exist for a cure.

Your donation helps our scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
