Story
I have decided to do the macmillan cancers Giants Causeway Mighty Hike along the coast. They have a full marathon and a half marathon. I am completing the half as I want to give back for all the help support and care that I received during my cancer journey. As you all know on the 5th August 2024 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, got my right breast removed completely and reconstructive DIEP flap surgery was completed. Then 23rd October I started my chemotherapy and it took everything that made me feminine away. I am still receiving chemotherapy at the minute and once it is completed I will start onto my radiotherapy and the a hormone drug for 5 years. I had a lot of down days and uncomfortable day but I am blessed to be still standing and even my mammy had breast cancer also right side on 2021 and she is cancer free now. So please help me to give back because the MacMillan cancer helps people and children worse off than me and that has to live with cancer for life. Thank you 🙏 🩷
