Eighty for 80 Alabaré Sky Dive · 1 June 2024 ·

Commemorating 80 years since the D-Day Landings in France, 80 intrepid skydivers are making the jump in tribute to those brave servicemen who landed on the Normandy Beaches 80 years ago. Raising funds for Alabaré's work with homeless veterans.

Story

I’m a ex Grenadier Guard that served 6 years. Unfortunately I was medically discharged in 2022 as became diabetic.

Being part of the Grenadier Guards was a honour, as the opportunity’s I got were Fantastic and I do miss the job.

Once leaving the forces I enrolled on a veteran self build in Ludgershall ran by Alabare and now completed the course and moved in to my new flat. I’ve chose to join fellow veterans in this sky dive to give back to others who need the help that I was given.

The event promises to be a powerful, reflective, and yet humbling experience. We will take a moment to reflect on why we are doing this and the sacrifices made on all sides.

You are most welcome to join me - in the skies or on the ground. It would be fabulous to have you cheer me on. Thank you for your donation.
