In September 2022 I visited Asha Nepal in Kathmandu for a few days and was amazed by the work they do to help women and children affected by trafficking. Approx 12,000 women and children are trafficked to the Middle East and India every year, mainly for exploitation in brothels or as forced labor. Asha Nepal is devoted to preventing the trafficking and abuse of girls and caring for survivors, with the aim of their safe reintegration into the community. I saw at close hand the hard work Asha do to completely turn around the lives of the people they look after. The charity provides trauma counselling, health care, educational support, and emergency and long-term residential care to the children and women who have been trafficked.

My Mum and I have decided to run the Paris Marathon to help this small and worthwhile charity. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and make a massive difference to everyone involved.
