Story
Over the last few years with the cost of living skyrocketing we feel there is a need to give back to a community which is only struggling more and more. Our aim is to run, ride or swim everyday of August to raise money for Dons Local Action Group to support this cause
Jack (who is five years older) will be doing: 1 mile run, 500 metre swim or a 5 mile ride every day in August.
Neve (who is only 8) will be doing: 1km run, 200 metre swim or a 3 mile ride every day in August.
Our overall goal by the end of August is to have:
- Run the equivalent of a marathon (26.2 miles)
- Ridden 100 miles
- Swum 1 mile
This will be a huge physical challenge for both of us to keep this up for 30 days. So we would be really grateful if you could please sponsor anything you can.
A bit more information from DLAG about the charity:
The last few years have been challenging for so many. in 2020, out of all the uncertainty and upheaval came the Dons Local Action Group, with the simple aim to help those in need in our local communities. We began providing food packages to those who were suddenly shielding, then refurbishing laptops for kids with no access to online learning, DLAG soon went on to become the go-to for helping those in poverty, in need of food, furniture, household equipment, digital devices and more across the boroughs of Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston.
