London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
Hello everyone!
On the first weekend of April I'll be taking on the 2025 LLHM half-marathon. Whilst I'm up for the challenge, for me it's all about raising money to support Tommy's so they can continue their vital work saving babies' lives.
Tommy's fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. They want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies.
To give you an idea of the impact of your donation:
- £10 could buy a thermometer to help doctors at the Tommy's miscarriage research centre predict ovulation
- £100 could pay for a blood pressure monitor at the Tommy's miscarriage research centre
- £350 could fund a Tommy's midwife for a day on our pregnancy line giving specialist pregnancy advice and support
More information about the amazing work Tommy's do can be found on their website here: https://www.tommys.org/
My personal target is to contribute £350, to pull my weight with a wider workplace team target of £8,500.
I'd really appreciate any donations at all, no matter how small, to support Tommy's in their life-saving work and provide me with that extra motivation for training in the cold winter months.
In return I'm going to get training and try and get around the 13.1 miles in under 2hr 20 mins - I'm not much of a runner so anything more than that is a bonus. Training is already well under way, and I'm looking forward to enjoying the run on the day alongside the other 19,000 runners that are expected to turn out.
Thanks again for your generosity and support!
