Story
When patients and families first come to Mountbatten they often say, ‘now we don’t have to worry.’ You can see the relief in their eyes when they realise they will not have to cope with dying or caring and grieving for their loved one alone.
When you donate, your gift will be used to fund:
-24/7 care and support for people at home or in our inpatient unit.
- Bereavement support for anyone who needs it.
- Rehabilitation & enablement services to help those with life-limiting conditions live as well as they can.
I am raising money for this charity as it's played a key role in my family & friends circle where we have had those dear to us spend their last few weeks of their life being cared for at the hospice.
Off the back of being part of a cycle ride from Southampton To Barcelona in 2019 where we raised over £60,000 for charity, I want to complete my own venture to raise money for this fantastic charity.
I will be swapping my role as a nutritionist for professional boxers to being a boxer & having a fight myself 3 x 2 minute rounds to raise awareness & money for this charity.
I will be putting my body & mind through a lot of pain to be victorious on the 20th of April to show people you can do anything you put your mind to.
Any donation is greatly appreciated no matter how big or small - all of my purse money which I get will also be going straight to the charity direct.
Thank you for all your support,
Jack.
