Story
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, life becomes full of fear for them and their family. I know this because i myself was once that child.
I’m raising money because from being discharged at 16 years old, I always knew what I wanted to do and that was give back to people who helped me in a long dark period of my life. I want to give back and be able to know that something I’ve done can have a huge impact and shine a light on a child’s life in such a dark time.
Like I said, from being that child once, I know that money raised like this can really really go a long way and make such a terrible time in life that bit more bearable. Now im fit and healthy I think it’s about time for me to do something and raise money to give back and make that difference.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
