Hi, I’m Jack and if you know me you know that exercise is not my forte. However, I have with a little persuasion from my mother in law 🙄 decided to run a half marathon. Now a half marathon to some people isn’t alot but I am doing this to raise money for a small charity thats close to mine and Ella’s heart.

As my little best mates 1st birthday has now been and gone I’ve had time to reflect and express gratitude over the last year. If it wasnt for the quick thinking staff at QEQM things would of been different.

Leo was born and then resuscitated for 20 minutes before being transfered alone to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Ashford hospital under the special care of the staff there in an incubator for what was the longest 24 hours of our lives. He was then moved to the Special Care Baby Unit where he was then closely monitored for the next 72 hours when Ella could finally then get to see him before being released home.

Its now my time to give back and I need the help from all you wonderful lot reading this. I will be raising money for Tiny Toes, to provide toys for the children's wards, provide specialist equipment at the cutting edge of technology, improve treatment facilities, support staff development and create a healing environment to promote well being within clinical spaces. Donations will also provide exciting and innovative projects, initiatives and equipment that really make a difference for hospital patients, visitors and staff- over and above government funding for the NHS.

Any donation big or small really does go a long way, I’ve seen first hand how the staff in those units work and whats needed, I appreciate the time you have taken to read my story and I promise no matter what I will cross that finish line.
