Jack Douglas is raising money for Pied Piper Appeal

24 hours of Golf non-stop! · 21 June 2025

The Pied Piper Appeal raises money to make a difference to sick and disabled children in Gloucestershire by funding the Children's Centre at GRH, supporting SEND schools, sending children and their families on Wish Holidays and improving experiences with mental health facilities.

Story

The Pied Piper Appeal was founded in 1992 by local hairdresser Peter Hickman and £4 million was pledged to build a new Children's Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The money was quickly raised with the centre opening in 2004.

Since then, The Pied Piper Appeal have continued to fund the Children's Centre along with supporting SEND Schools with equipment and resources, Sending children with life-limiting illnesses and their families on memory making Wish Holidays, and improving children's experience with Mental Health facilities.

I'm Jack Douglas, I'm 14 years old and I love golf. I play off a handicap of 11 and I'm Junior Captain of Brickhampton Court Golf Club this year.

To do something special in my Junior Captain's year, I'd like to raise as much money as possible for The Pied Piper Appeal by playing golf, non-stop, for 24 hours from 1pm Saturday 21st June until 1pm Sunday 22nd June, 2025 at Brickhampton Court Golf Club. That means playing through the night, in the dark, for a total of 24 hours, no matter the weather.

I can't wait and it would be awesome if you could please support me!

Thank you.

Jack
