I'm running the TCS 2025 London Marathon for Bowel Cancer UK!

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Bowel Cancer has had a huge impact on my family. My Nanny and Grandad suffered long and hard battles with the disease, before sadly passing away. My Nanny who was so loving, caring, and an incredible baker, died in 2016. And my Grandad who had the most amazing laugh, loved his football, and always had a smile on his face, died last year. They suffered so terribly and painfully, and I don’t want anyone else to experience that. Seeing a loved one in that kind of pain is the worst thing I have ever experienced, and it is so unfair. Because of Bowel Cancer, I have lost future cups of tea and cake with my Nanny, and I have lost football and beer with my Grandad. Because of Bowel Cancer, my Nanny and Grandad won’t be at my wedding, and they won’t see the birth of my children. Because of Bowel Cancer I won’t be able to give them one more hug goodbye. I miss them so dearly and no one deserves to go through what they went through. And that is why I am running the TCS 2025 London Marathon as part of #TeamBowelCancerUK.
I am running the London Marathon so that people and their families effected by Bowel Cancer don't have to suffer like my Nanny and Grandad did, and in the hope that Cancer will be cured. Your support will help stop people dying of Bowel Cancer by funding vital services and lifesaving research.
