Story

Hi,

I'm Jack James. I am a very active 11 year old boy, who loves TKD, climbing, swimming and anything about going fast, but I am also very aware that I am lucky to be able to do all these things. I would love to use what I am good at to do something positive, where I can raise money to help other children.

This year, Dorchester Festival is raising money for Be Free Young Carers and Dorchester Abbey

Be Free Young Carers:

This is an amazing charity which supports so many children and their families struggling with extra pressures at home. We learnt about them at school recently and I was so excited to hear they have been chosen as this year's charity at Dorchester Festival. These children often cant do everything other kids can as they are needing to help more at home, often looking after other family members. It is an Oxfordshire based charity who build strong relationships with the children, their families, schools and communities, offering youth groups, activities, counselling and much more. https://befreeyc.org.uk/

Dorchester Abbey:

My Granny is Jane Willis, Rector of Dorchester Abbey, a huge and very old building full of history, founded in 635! They are not just a church on Sundays, they hold so many community events for all ages and I would like to support them in all that they do.

Thank you for all your support,

Jack James
