Autism Forward funds one-to-one specialist mentoring support to help autistic adults find and maintain paid or voluntary employment, fulfil their potential in life and deal with issues such as anxiety, relationships, housing and personal stability.

Story

As many of you know, my daughter Matilda was diagnosed with non verbal autism and the last 5 years have been navigating the journey that Matilda is on and us a new parents.

Unfortunately the system does not support autistic children from diagnosis right through to employment.

That’s why there is such a huge need for amazing charities like Autism forward who help and give one to one support to autistic adults to help navigate the next chapter of their life after school.

We have been fortunate enough to place Matilda in an amazing specialist school but the worry of what will happen next will always be a question that keeps us up at night. It’s reassuring and comforting that there are support networks like Autism forward for when that need is required.

I am sucker for overthinking and I’m certainly not an adrenaline junkie so a sky dive would not be my first choice. However, I thought this was good option to put myself outside of my comfort zone, which is something Matilda and other autistic people have to do on a daily basis.

Please do donate and I’m sure to share the videos of the screams and tears on my socials.
