I did my Duke of Edinburgh volunteering for Ruils - Independent Living, a small charity in South West London that supports disabled people to live independent lives.

I don't like heights, but I'm going to zipwire across Twickenham Stadium on 19th November to raise money for Ruils' Volunteer Befriending Service.

Befrienders support lonely local people who are disabled or have mental health conditions and help to connect them with their community. It costs Ruils £216.98 to recruit, vet and train a new Befriender and then link them with a client who is waiting for this support. There is a 4 month wait time for befrienders at the moment due to lack of funds.
