I will be running the Great North Run this year alongside friends and family to raise money in support of Marie Curie. I am taking part in memory of my Grandad and Erin's Nanna who we recently lost after battles with cancer. I can't say I'm much of a runner but I want to challenge myself knowing he'd be proud of whatever we achieve. Money raised goes to a great cause, supporting patients and families through tough times that unfortunately more than a few of us have experienced. £3 helps fund a meal for a patient in one of our hospices.

£207 helps fund nine hours of overnight nursing care in a patient's home.
