Story
Why are we raising money?
We are raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) because this cruel disease has hit brutally close to home.
Recently, my dad was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND)—a devastating, life-shortening condition that progressively strips away a person’s ability to move, speak, and eventually breathe. This heartbreaking journey is shared by so many families, including Tom's family, after we tragically lost Tom's father-in-law, Paul Hunter, to MND last Christmas.
Seeing the profound impact MND has on families makes you realise just how vital it is to fund cutting-edge research for a treatment and cure, while providing essential practical support to those living with it today.
Our Fundraising Push:
To fight back, our community is coming together in full force:
September 20th: We are hosting a massive Charity Football Match, Live Music, and Raffle Day at Seamer Sports Club (Kick-off at 1:00 PM).
October 18th: Joe and Tom are taking on the York Marathon to run in honour of my dad and in memory of Paul Hunter.
Whether you are coming down to watch the football, buying raffle tickets, sponsoring the lads for the half marathon, or donating directly through this page, every single penny makes a massive difference.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support. Let’s raise as much as we can to help beat MND! 💙
