Story
In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise money for the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity in support of their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
This cause is incredibly close to my heart. Our daughter, Gracie, was born prematurely at just 32 weeks and spent vital time in the care of the amazing NICU team at Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro. Those early days were some of the most emotional and overwhelming of our lives.
We live in Devon but were transferred to Truro as it was the only hospital with a bed available for Gracie. It was daunting being away from home and our wider support network, but the doctors, nurses, and staff quickly became that support for us. They offered not only expert care for Gracie but also kindness, reassurance, and comfort when we needed it most.
Their compassion, skill, and dedication made an indescribable difference to our family and to so many others facing similar journeys. Their care reaches families not only in Cornwall but from further afield, offering support whenever it is needed most.
Now I want to give something back. Every mile I run and every pound raised will help the NICU continue providing lifesaving care, specialist equipment, and comfort for babies and families when they need it most.
If you can, please support me with a donation, no matter how small. Every contribution will make a real difference to the incredible people who care for the most vulnerable babies.
Thank you so much for your support.
