On 6th September 2024, a group of 9 of us will be taking on an epic challenge in order to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and more importantly, to pay tribute to an amazing friend who sadly passed away in September 2021. Dave Hyde was an incredible friend to all of us and has left a huge hole in all of our lives since his passing and it’s this reason we all wanted to get together and do something in his memory.

The challenge is an 100+ mile bike ride, the route we have chosen is particularly relevant to Dave’s life which makes it all the more special for us. We will be starting at Dave’s family home in the early hours, venturing on to Henley rugby club (a club Dave excelled at for a number of years) before finishing the ride at twickenham stadium (where Dave played and managed to score a try).

After talking with Dave’s family, the charity we have chosen to raise money for is the British Heart Foundation and having recently also lost another friend far too young in Charles Winstone to a heart related condition, it has motivated us further to raise money for this great charity and anything you can donate whether big or small would be greatly appreciated and would help make a real difference.
