In January 2013, Our world changed forever.Holly's brother Matthew passed away after a brave 4-year battle with a cancerous brain tumour. He was just 26 years old.
Matt wasn’t just my brother – he was the heart of our family. Kind, funny, and full of strength right to the very end. Even in his final days, he was thinking of others. He had just found out he was going to be an uncle and chose the name Evie for his niece – a name that’s now 12 years full of life and love. His legacy also lives on through his nephew, who proudly carries Matthew as his middle name.
There’s a massive hole in our hearts that will never fully heal, but we’re forever grateful to Myton Hospice, who cared for Matt with compassion and dignity in his final week. They gave him the end-of-life care he deserved, and for that, we’ll always be thankful.
Gone too soon, but never forgotten. We love you, Matt.
