Story
In April, I will be running the London Marathon on behalf of the Children’s Bereavement Centre.
Growing up, I lost my grandparents but never understood grief and bereavement. It wasn’t until I witnessed my best friend lose a parent, that I began to understand the impact it can have on individuals and a family.
I was fortunate enough to have the proper support when I went through bereavement, however, not all children are afforded that luxury.
The Children’s Bereavement Centre provides the support to children aged 3-18 to assist with their grief and bereavement journey. Without this support, the children may experience significant psychological, social and behavioural issues that can impact them in later life, including substance abuse, mental health problems and relationships issues.
Heres how your donations can make a difference:
£10 could fund a comfort bear for a child—a small friend in a big moment.
£25 could cover one play therapy session, helping a child express what words can’t.
£50 could buy the crafts and toys used to gently explore emotions through creativity.
£100 could provide memory books—precious places to remember and reflect.
£200 could fund 8 one-to-one support sessions, walking alongside a child every step of the way.
I can’t thank you guys enough for your support to myself, this wonderful charity and the children they support.
