Half Marathon for Cystic Fibrosis Trust

I am running the Edinburgh half marathon for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust 🏃🏼
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK, and each week 5 babies are diagnosed with the condition.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. Those living with cystic fibrosis soon learn it’s a lifelong challenge: vast daily intake of drugs (the current average is 60 tablets every day), time consuming physiotherapist and isolation from others with the condition, just to stay healthy. However, despite this, the health of those living with cystic fibrosis can critically escalate at any moment. Each week 2 people die from the condition in the UK.
I am running a half marathon in May for TeamCF as the Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis. They invest in cutting-edge research to develop improved treatments, drive up standards of clinical care at specialist CF centres and clinics and support those affected by the condition.
I hope you can you support my journey 🏃🏼
