Hi All,

I am raising money for the National Literacy Trust as apart of their Arctic Challenge. This is a self-funded wilderness endurance challenge, incorporating activities like dog sledding, ice fishing and hiking.

The money I raise through this event will help to improve children's lives in disadvantaged areas across the UK. The work the National Literacy Trust does helps children without the expected level of literacy skills.

Some key stats that jumped out to me for why this intervention is needed is adults without literacy skills are two times more likely to be unemployed by the time they are in their 30's and they are three times more likely to have mental health problems.
