Earlier in 2025 we lost an absolutely golden human being Sandy McPhail, Sarah’s uncle and someone who meant a lot to me.

Sandy dedicated a lot of his time and heart to the Highland and Island Blood Bikes, saving local and visitor lives in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I secured a ballot place for the marathon but I’ll be running with Sandy’s voice in my head and want to honour him by raising some cash for the charity he loved so dearly.
