Story

On Friday 13th November, I’ll be taking on my biggest challenge yet and running 110 miles from Biddulph to Caernarfon Airport in memory of my Stepdad, Mark Jackson, who sadly passed away suddenly last year at just 49 years old.

I’ll be raising money for The Dove Service, a bereavement counselling service based in Stoke-on-Trent that supports people and families dealing with grief and loss.

I chose Caernarfon as the finish because Mark loved his military planes and visiting the Air Museum there. It was somewhere that meant a lot to him, and after his funeral the money kindly donated in his memory went to the museum. Because of that, it just felt like the right place for me to finish.

110 miles is going to be a massive challenge, and I know there are going to be some very difficult moments along the way, but having Mark as the reason behind it will keep me going.

Hopefully, by doing something this big in his memory, I can also raise as much as possible for The Dove Service and help them continue supporting people going through one of the hardest times in their lives.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean a lot to me and my family.

Thank you for your support.

This one’s for you, Mark ❤️✈️
