Story
April 2026, I’m taking on the London Marathon to raise funds and awareness for Lupus UK — a cause that means a great deal to me personally.
When we were teenagers, my best friend became seriously ill. It took years of unexplained symptoms, hospital visits, and setbacks before he was finally diagnosed with lupus. Because he didn’t fit the “typical” profile, doctors struggled to connect the dots.
Eventually, he was diagnosed — and while that brought clarity, it also marked the start of a lifelong journey with a chronic, often invisible illness. Thankfully, aside from the occasional flare-up and the need for ongoing medication, he’s doing well (apart from his golf game!).
🟣 Lupus is often invisible, underdiagnosed, and misunderstood. With your help, we can fund better research, quicker diagnoses, and stronger support for those affected.
👉 Please donate if you can — every contribution makes a difference.
Thank you for your support!
