Story
I’m running the Manchester Marathon to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that means a great deal to me and my family. Both my grandmother and my wife’s grandmother passed away after long battles with Alzheimer’s.
It’s a cruel disease – one that slowly takes a loved one away before they’ve even gone. I saw first-hand how it robs people of their memories, their independence, and their connection with the people who love them most.
By running this marathon, I want to honour their memory and help support the work of the Alzheimer’s Society. The charity funds vital research and provides support to families going through what we went through. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference in the fight against dementia.
Thank you so much for your support.
