Story
I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR ALL THE DONATIONS YOU HAVE GIVEN ME ON MY CHALLENGE.
I am taking on the Thrive in 30 Challenge to raise money for JIGSAW Thornbury who have given me opportunities to meet others, build confidence and have fun enjoying interesting events and activities.
Over the summer holidays I will be running 30 kilometres in 6 different Park Run locations. I will be taking on Pomphrey Hill, Eastville, Blaise Castle, Ashton Court (now Seaton) and Severn Bridge (now Rogiet) before finishing up at Thornbury with Jigsaw friends! I will keep you updated on my progress over the coming weeks.
Update Saturday 12th September @ Thornbury
Hi, my last Park Run is at Thornbury. My family & friends came to support and I got a shout out by the Race Director. I ran with Hattie, CEO of JIGSAW, and have raised over £500. The course was cross country and was hard up hill but I felt stronger in today’s run. I want to thank everyone for all the donations they have given to me on my challenge, and to Park Run for giving me a great time at the places I have been to. Peace.

Update Saturday 5th September @ Rogiet (Wales)
Hi guys, this is my 5th out of 6th Park Run and I am going to run across the Severn Bridge from Wales. This course is going to be flat with a slight incline. See you at the end …. HOLD - PARK RUN CANCELLED - GRAFFITI ARTIST CONVENTION BLOCKING THE UNDERPASS …. Hi, I have ended the 5th out of 6th Park Run and this is an unexpected Park Run in Rogiet (Countryside Park) as the one I was supposed to do got cancelled. It was pretty easy compared to the run we were going to do, 3 laps of gravel track. See you in the last Park Run next week. Peace!
Update Saturday 22nd August @ Seaton (Devon)
Hi there, this was my fourth out of six park runs and we are in a different place. We are running in Seaton. This was flatter, on a beach and was more enjoyable. I did it in a similar time to my last park run. I was ahead of my Dad all the time. The park run had pebbles which was unique to Seaton. When I finished I went for a dip in the sea. Woohoo!! I’ll see you next time. Jack.
Update Saturday 1st August @ Blaise Castle
Hi, I’ve just completed my third out of six park runs and I’m half way there to the finish. I completed this 2 minutes faster than my last park run and I enjoyed this very well. It was great to get support from family and others on the course. It was probably the easiest course so far. The hardest is coming up next! See you next time.
Update Saturday 25th July @ Eastville Park Run
This was the best Park Run I have ever done and I enjoyed this one the most. The route was uphill, downhill, and around a very big pond with swans, ducks and their ducklings. I felt much stronger on the up hill and stretch my legs down hill and was faster than last weeks time. I have now done 2 of the 6. See you next week!
Update Saturday 11th July @ Pomphrey Hill Park Run
I enjoyed it but it was very challenging & hot! It took a lot of determination to finish and I am very proud to do it. I have done 5km, with 25 km left and am looking forward to seeing you soon!
