Story
In 2024 my Mam passed away after a short battle with cancer.
In the precious time she had left, the nurses at Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle Upon Tyne were there to provide her with the comfort and care she needed and I'll forever be grateful to each of them for what they did and what they continue to do to this day.
Naturally during this time I became more exposed to not only the amazing work that Marie Curie do but also their history, their story and the true working class spirit they embody; a spirit that is more than worth fighting for, or in this case running for!
"It's not about the years in your life, it's about the life in your years."
On a personal level I want to challenge myself to something I've never done before, especially as I turn 30 this year... yikes! xD
