Dementia Walk · 4 July 2025

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Story

Jack and Robbie will be taking on a walk of around 20 miles from Saltburn to Whitby on Friday 4th July.

In doing so, they will be raising money for the Lewy Body Society - a cause that means a great lot to both of them.

Jack’s Grandad was diagnosed with the devastating disease Lewy Body Dementia a couple of years ago and they both understand the impact this terrible illness has on individuals and their loved ones.

Let’s help them play their part by spreading awareness and raising as much as we can to help the charity.

Any donations, no matter how big or small, would mean the world, not only to them but to anyone who knows the lasting effects dementia can have.

DO ONE DEMENTIA

Thank you ♥️

The Lewy Body Society was founded in 2006 to support research into Lewy body dementia and to raise awareness of the disease. We aim to educate the public, the medical professions and those in decision-making positions about the disease, which unfortunately is still not well known.
