Story
Homelessness is devastating, dangerous and isolating. Tonight 4,793 people will be sleeping on our streets. Research has found 9 out of 10 people experience violence, abuse or theft whilst sleeping rough and are almost 17 times more likely to have been victims of violence.
For many, life events like a relationship breaking down, losing a job, mental or physical health problems, or substance misuse put people under considerable strain. Being homeless can, in turn, make many of these problems even harder to resolve. However, in nearly all cases homelessness is preventable and in every case it can be ended.
By donating today, you can ensure Crisis can continue their vital work and help someone leave homelessness behind for good.
