Story
Breaking Stereotypes
My story defies what most people think lung cancer looks like—I was fit, active, and symptom-free—but it also carries a message of hope. Lung cancer can be caught early. It can be treated effectively. And it can be beaten. That’s why I’m passionate about raising awareness around lung screening and championing early detection.
Why I’m Cycling London to Brighton for SCTS on 14 September 2025
I am cycling with purpose this year as part of Team SCTS (Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain & Ireland)—because this ride isn’t just about sport, it’s about giving back:
Supporting surgical excellence: SCTS promotes better heart, chest, and lung surgery through education, training, and mentorship—helping improve outcomes for patients like me.
Fueling hope and change: By training, fundraising, and riding with this incredible team, I’m turning my survival into a mission to save more lives.
How You Can Help
Please consider supporting my ride—whether by donating, sharing, or simply helping spread the word:
Help me inspire others—share my story and encourage early screening.
Together, we can help make lung cancer detection and surgical care more accessible, more effective, and more hopeful for all.
