I’ve done a lot of charity challenges... but never one like this — and never for a cause that’s felt so urgent.

Yesterday I decided to sign up to the most gruelling challenge I’ve ever been mad enough to agree to do and with no training …..In just a few days, I’ll be joining a group of brave (or slightly mad) souls to take on the Mourne Seven Sevens Hike of Hope — a gruelling 19-mile trek over seven of the highest peaks in Northern Ireland. It’s 10–12 hours of climbing, scrambling, and no doubt crying!

I’ve asked for support many times before and I’m so incredibly grateful for every bit of encouragement and generosity. But this time… this challenge is urgent and I’m determined to raise as much money to support Concern’s lifesaving efforts in Gaza and other crisis zones where families are facing one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history.

Why I’m doing this:

The people of Gaza are dying — not just from bombs, but from starvation, dehydration, and the complete collapse of health services. Families are being forced to survive in unimaginable conditions. Yet amidst all this, organisations like Concern Worldwide, with their local partner CESVI, are still finding ways to deliver lifesaving food, water and medical aid.

Just last week, Concern and CESVI installed a reverse osmosis water filter at the only functioning children’s hospital in Gaza City — enabling dialysis treatment for children with kidney failure. This is nothing short of miraculous given the danger and restrictions aid workers face every day.

It’s relentless. It’s life or death. And they need us now more than ever.
