Story
On Sunday 1 June 2025 at 1pm, Hambledon Cricket Club are holding a charity cricket match in honour of my sister, Jacqueline Turner, who sadly passed away after a long battle with breast cancer at only 42 years old.
Jacqueline came from a very sporty family and represented Hampshire Women’s cricket team and played 3rd and 4th XI cricket for Hambledon ladies. She was also Hambledon Cricket Club scorer for the past 15 years. Watching Havant and Waterlooville Football Club play at many of their home games was also one of her enjoyments. Jacqueline married her long-term partner, Michelle, last year and they adopted a little West Highland Terrier called Sam, who kept them busy.
We are fundraising for Breast Cancer Now as this was one of the charities that Jacqueline supported. They provide courses, events, groups to share experiences and one-to-one support for guidance and to chat to people who understand . They also fund world-class research, finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat breast cancer. Their work is vital and every donation, no matter the size, will help them continue their incredible work.
