Story

For those who don’t know me, my running journey began eight years ago, just before my 50th birthday. I signed up for a Couch to 5K programme on a whim—having never really exercised before (since school!). To my surprise, I’ve been hooked ever since, joining Biggleswade Athletics Club, where I’ve found a supportive and encouraging community, no matter your ability or age. I also have a part time running buddy - Lilli my daughters golden doodle (my own dogs have no interest in running)....

I’m incredibly proud to be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) Charity. ELFT is a mental health trust linked to where I work, and while it’s a relatively new charity, it plays a vital role in funding projects and initiatives that NHS budgets can’t cover. This includes things like music and sports therapy sessions, special needs groups, and other essential services that make a real difference to people’s lives.

Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated, and I’m excited to run for such a great cause!
