It’s our pleasure to welcome you to our T20 cricket match in aid of SpecialEffect. As Team McGrogan prepares to face Team Butterfield, we’d like to tell you about all the amazing work that SpecialEffect does and how they’ve helped one of our members through this challenging period in their life.

SpecialEffect provides innovative technology to people with disabilities, long-term illnesses, or those who have suffered traumatic injuries, leaving them paralysed.

Last July, one of our members was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, which left him paralysed and on life support. In the time since his diagnosis, he has made significant improvements, but none of this would have been possible without the support from SpecialEffect and their amazing StarGaze eye-tracking system, which has allowed him to communicate, socialise, and stream his favourite entertainment.

The good news is that he will continue to improve, but many others won’t. That is why we ask for your help in raising as much money as possible to help change the lives of people all over the world by making it possible for them to access the amazing technology that SpecialEffect has to offer.
