Story

CHALLENGE 5

5 Ironman Triathlons in 5 Days – Fighting for Veterans Mental Health

In 2023, I ran 100km in 10 hours and raised nearly £8,000 for charity. Now, it’s time for my next solo challenge: five full Ironman triathlons in five consecutive days. That’s a 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride, and 42km run every day—a total of 1,132km. Fewer than 45 people worldwide have ever completed anything like this.

Why am I doing this? Because I’ve been searching for purpose myself. Training has been my lifeline during tough times. With mental health-related deaths rising—tragically including serving Royal Marines—I knew I had to do more. If I can push my limits, maybe I can help others find hope and strength to fight their own battles.

Mental health struggles are often invisible, but they are relentless. For many, suicide feels easier than speaking out. That reality shows just how severe these battles can be. We need to break the stigma and make asking for help a sign of strength—not weakness.

My goal is simple: to inspire. If I can overcome this unimaginable challenge, I hope it proves that even the hardest battles can be won.

All donations will go to Veterans into Logistics, an incredible charity supporting struggling veterans to speak out and find work. Helping them become the best version of themselves. It’s the perfect partner for this mission and a charity I am so excited to work with on challenge 5.

If you’re reading this and feel yourself slipping into negativity, please reach out. Just one conversation can change everything. Why fight a war alone when people are ready to fight alongside you? The best times often come after the hardest battles—you just have to take that first step.
