Story
On June 22nd, I am participating in the Triathlon of Compassion to raise money for the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre.
Victoria Sexual Assault Centre has been helping women, and Trans survivors of sexual assault and childhood abuse for over 40 years.
Where do your donations go? Victoria Sexual Assault Centre (VSAC) runs a private, safe clinic where recent survivors of sexual assault can receive medical care and access to services for healing. Their passionate and trained volunteers are the first contact for survivors. Their counsellors provide individual and group sessions, because healing for each individual involves different paths. VSAC's workshops help youth, BIPOC, and communities in Victoria to become empowered about consent, positive relationships, and to advocate against sexual violence. They also partner with First Nations communities to offer spaces for culturally relevant healing and with anti-violence organizations to provide information and education around Victoria. The Triathlon of Compassion contributes toward all of these services at VSAC.
Every dollar counts! Thank you.
