Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon, a 13 mile run through the streets of central London, from Big Ben and St Paul's Cathedral to the Tower of London, the Shard and the London Eye.
I am new to running but have been inspired to raise funds for Campden Home Nursing, an independent charity providing end of life care in a patient's own home. A charity close to my home and close to my heart!
Highly qualified, registered nurses provide gold-standard, personalised care for patients in their own home, day and night, allowing for dignity, comfort and peace in those final, few days.
The charity provides bereavement services, including one-to-one counselling sessions for adults, to help individuals process their grief in a confidential and supportive environment, and play therapy for children, impacted by the loss of a family member, loved one or friend, helping them to process emotions and navigate grief through play and creative techniques.
Wellbeing support and activities take place at the charity base, Jecca's House, in Chipping Campden.
The charity receives little government funding so donations are essential to ensure Campden Home Nursing can continue their vital work for many years to come.
