Story

Hi my name is Jacob,

I am 12 years old and I am abseiling down the tallest abseil tower in the world in aid of The Lewis Foundation. 418ft!!!!!!

My mum “Ginga barista” works for the Lewis foundation within the Link Cafe which is where I heard about the charity.

When my mum told me that she was abseiling for the foundation I was excited about happy about the money she could raise and asked how I could help, turns out I’m old enough to do it too!

Me and mum will be abseiling together on 13th September.

I’m absolutely TERRIFIED, but so excited about how this will help support adult cancer patients.

So please please share, donate and support anyway that you can!

P.s. I will be one of the youngest people to do this!

How your donation will make a difference to cancer patients?

Our aim is that no one goes through cancer alone, which is why The Lewis Foundation provides care packs for free and support to adults diagnosed with cancer in hospital.

Patients pick their gift from a gift list with 29 different packs to choose from and no donations taken in return.

Depending on which pack you choose, it may contain overnight essentials and toiletries, craft set, hydration supplies, puzzles, miniature radios complete with batteries and headphones, and lots, lots more items many people in hospital might find difficult to buy themselves or simply cannot afford. For some individuals receiving cancer treatment, The Lewis Foundation volunteers are their only regular visitors.

One gift pack costs £3.60. A simple way to make a huge impact.
