Story
As many of you know, in November last year my amazing older sister Jodie passed away. In April 2026 I will be running the London Marathon alongside my cousin Meg and best friend Brad, in memory of the most vibrant, brave, beautiful and kind person I've ever known, and will ever know.
Cystic Fibrosis has always been an enormous part of mine, and my family's life with Jodie diagnosed with CF shortly after being born. Jodie passed away in last year at the age of 30 after a battle with cancer, having lived with CF her whole life. She also had a double lung transplant at 18, and a kidney transplant, donated by my Dad, at 28.
But my big sister Jodie was the epitome of living a life unlimited despite everything thrown at her. Whether it was riding her beloved polo ponies, flying past me down ski slopes or decorating her very own house - she lived every day she could with the biggest appreciation of life. It's hard to describe the utter joy and happiness it brought my family seeing her break the restrictions of a life limiting illness to spend time doing things she loved. Some of the advancements directly funded by Cystic Fibrosis Trust throughout Jodie's life gave her the opportunity to live her life the way she did.
This is why we will be raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of those with CF through vital research, whilst also providing vital support to people with CF and their families.
Thank you so much for any contribution you can make.
I know I'll never get over losing my sister but I am determined with your help to make a difference to those with CF, and those affected by CF - in Jodie's name.
