Story
The first splash. The holding your breath. The echoes of laughter. The wet hair. The lifted spirits. The joy of gliding through water. The smile that lasts all day.
Swimming is like nothing else. The skills you develop, the confidence you build and the joys you feel are all universal. Yet access to swimming in the UK is not.
At Level Water, we use the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities.
Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.
I shall be swimming in a team of 8 (Swimply the Best) made up of old friends new friends and an offspring - 3 x 50 minute swims each covering 24 hour period in a lake with a temperature considerably less than the Med 🥶. Camping at the venue to add to the fun .
Not everyone is as fortunate as we are in having been taught to swim as children - let’s help level the playing field a bit for those with less good fortune 😊🏊🏻♀️🩱
