On 27th April Team Camglen Buddies will take part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk.

May 2025 is a big year for us as we celebrate 🥳 our 10th anniversary

Camglen Buddies was founded by a group of parents who recognised a critical gap in resources for individuals with additional support needs in the Rutherglen/Cambuslang area.

This is a need that has only grown since the pandemic which saw many services reduced or removed.

Our membership has doubled as a result,

Highlighting our role in supporting not only our members but also their parent/carers.

We are committed to addressing the isolation that many of our members experience due to limitations imposed by their disabilities.

Many have expressed frustration over the barriers to forming friendships and engaging in social activities and our goal is to address these needs directly.

Our vision is to encourage positive mental health by implementing services that confront stigma, inequality and discrimination, we strive to create an inclusive environment where our members can thrive.

We are a small group of volunteers implementing a monthly karaoke session, every 2nd Friday we run a youth group and we provide a 6 week summer program and in October we have increased our services to provide activities during the day twice a week.

We are hoping to have a big celebration 🎉 to mark our 10 year anniversary if you could make this a possibility for us we would be extremely grateful

Kind regards
