Fundraising for Friends of Yew Tree School (Charity No. 1054830)

On 3rd November 2023, I will start climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, the highest free standing mountain in the world , situated in Tanzania. At the same time I will be trying to raise funds for Yew Tree School in my local community-Solihull.

The person doing the climb is me Jackie Nkuzi Hung, proud mother of three children who all attend Yew Tree School. I have always wanted to climb Mount Kilimanjaro but until now the opportunity has never arisen and I thought it would be an excellent idea to combine the climb with raising funds for the school.

Yew Tree School, like all schools, has limited resources and must concentrate on the critical elements of education for our children. That means there are less important areas that become neglected such as the Old Tyre Park. With your help, I would like to raise funds to replace the existing equipment with new play equipment so that not just our children but the future students have a place that will complement their academic education.
