Running through history to change the future for children with brain tumours by providing clinical psychology when it's most needed to ensure the best outcome for the children and their families.

Story

I'm lacing up my running shoes for the Cambridge Half as part of 'Team Tom'. Tom's Trust is a charity, started in Cambridge, which provides vital clinical psychology to change the lives of children with brain tumours.

I will be pounding the pavements to raise money for vital clinical psychologists, who will support these little warriors and their families following the devastating diagnosis of a brain tumour. Tom's Trust are the UK’s only charity dedicated to this mission, with hundreds of families being helped every year thanks to you, our generous donors.

This year, I am not only running to change my own life. I am running to make a profound impact on the lives of others. As a testament to the collective impact we can have when we unite for a greater cause, Tom's Trust children will be representing a different landmark along the course.

Let's change the future, one stride at a time. Your generosity and support is key to making a lasting impact. Thank you.

For more perspective on why I'm running for Tom's Trust, here is a short video about Tom and why the charity was formed in his name after he lost his battle to a brain tumour. You'll see how important psychological support after a brain tumour diagnosis is, and the importance of fundraising initiatives like this in helping affected children and families
