Story
I was going to do a Zumbathon in March 2020, and we all know why that didn't happen! It's now 4 1/2 years later (and I am 4 1/2 years older!) and I am seeking your support in aid of the Martlets charity; support that is even more essential now. This charity (Registered Charity number: 802145) is local to Brighton and Hove and surrounding areas and provides essential care to people affected by terminal illness both patients and their loved ones, assisting patients to live life to the full during the precious time they have together.
Most care is provided in to people in their own homes, but there is an inpatient unit which can provide care in those final days, respite care or symptom management. Outpatients can also visit the hospice for pain relief, physiotherapy, counselling, welfare advice and social activities.
Martlets care is free thanks to the support of local people, businesses, trusts and people like you. An NHS grant covers a portion of the costs, but it relies mainly on the community to fund most of its vital services.
All donations go direct to Martlets. The platform does not take a cut.
Thank you!
