Walking 25km for Children in Care with Fatima Whitbread

On 13th September 2025, I’m taking on the London Bridges 25km Trek with an incredible woman – Fatima, an ex-Olympic javelin thrower with a truly inspiring story.

Abandoned as a baby and raised in the care system, Fatima’s life changed at 14 when a coach at her athletics club adopted her and gave her the chance to thrive. She went on to become an Olympian – and now dedicates her life to campaigning for children in care, making sure they feel valued, supported, and given the opportunities they deserve.

I met Fatima on a walking holiday in Italy and was struck by her passion and determination. Walking this trek with her, I want to raise funds to support her campaign and the children whose lives it touches.
